So then what does that make a life coach -- someone who can put your whole life back together? How so? And how long is that going to take anyway?
Well here's what working with a life coach, isn't. It isn't a lose-20-pounds-in-five-days miracle. Fad diets are attractive because they're short-term, drastic and the promise of quick weight loss is so appealing. But if you haven't changed your eating habits to keep off the weight for life, where are you?
That brings us to why you're looking at this website in the first place.
Perhaps you've heard about someone else's experience with a life coach. Perhaps you've read about it. Yet naturally, you're still tentative. After all, this is your life we're talking about, not someone else's.
So a few questions to ask yourself as to why you may want to consult a life coach. Are you experiencing:
Unhappiness/malaise with the direction of career/job or personal relationships? Anxiety/lack of confidence and worth that goes with being out of work? Out-of-control exhaustion from a day-to-day life overly filled with activities/responsibilities? A mix of the above? Or, is it even more vague than that -- you are simply not enjoying life and can't quite put your finger on why.
Most importantly -- you may be at the point where you feel frozen into doing nothing about it. It's too overwhelming, perhaps. And anyway, where would you start?
